The ReMade Foundation is proud to announce that the ReMade certification is the first Italian scheme regarding the recycled content of products to be recognized within the European accreditation system coordinated by EA.
In July 2026, the ReMade certification received a positive evaluation from the European cooperation for Accreditation (EA). EA is the body that coordinates national accreditation bodies across the European region, ensuring the harmonization and mutual recognition of accreditation systems for all European countries, EFTA nations, and Mediterranean-bordering countries.
This marks a significant new milestone in the growth of the ReMade Foundation and its certification scheme, coming shortly after the certification of the torch used in the most recent Winter Olympics.
The ReMade certification verifies and certifies the origin and traceability of recycled material and by-product content in any type of product or material—including multi-material products—ensuring a reliable assessment throughout the entire production supply chain.
To date, the ReMade certification has been adopted by over 400 companies, covering more than 8,000 products listed in the online catalog.
We work with 9 accredited certification bodies, 203 qualified auditors, and 156 consultants across Italy.
The positive evaluation by EA enables the ReMade scheme to be recognized by the 47 member national accreditation bodies and allows these bodies to accredit certification bodies operating under the ReMade scheme.
The relationship established between accreditation bodies, certification bodies, and the ReMade scheme ensures high levels of oversight, impartiality, and result comparability. For companies, this translates into the ability to use ReMade certification as a reliable and widely recognized tool to support their market strategies, international supply chain management, and the showcasing of their commitment to the circular economy.
